About this trip
Side is one of the most atmospheric resort areas in Turkey: a narrow peninsula with ancient ruins right by the sea and a lively promenade where bars and clubs open in the evening.
The main symbol of Side is the columns of the Temple of Apollo at the edge of the cape, especially striking at sunset. Nearby are the amphitheatre of the ancient city and the old harbour with restaurants.
The resort's youth hotels are usually located 10–15 minutes from the centre, with pools, evening animation and on-site bars. Nearby is the Aqualand Side water park with slides and a wave pool.
The best time to go is from May to October. Flights from Tashkent are charter flights and take about 5 hours.
