When is the best time to visit Konyaalti?

The best time to travel to Konyaalti is April–May and October–November: the weather is mild, there are fewer tourists, and you can explore the area at a relaxed pace. The beach season lasts roughly from May to October, and July and August are the hottest and busiest months. The sea stays warm even in late autumn.

Where is Konyaalti?

Konyaalti is a district on the western edge of Antalya, on the Mediterranean coast at the foot of cliffs. The name is believed to come from the Turkish koy altı — “bay under the cliffs”. Until the 1980s, this was mostly villages and farmland; today it is a resort area stretching towards the mountains.

How to get to Konyaalti?

The nearest airport is Antalya (AYT), about 20 km from the beach. From the airport, you can conveniently take the AntRay tram (line T1A) to the centre and then change. From the old town Kaleiçi, the retro tram T2 runs to the “Archaeological Museum” stop — from there it is about a 10-minute walk to the sea. City buses (e.g. KL08 and route 800 to Sarısu) and taxis are also good options.
